Look for the sticker
Most laptops have a small Intel or AMD sticker on the palm rest, beside the touchpad.
In Windows
Open Settings, then System, then About. The line headed Processor starts with Intel or AMD. Our spec guide has pictures of each screen.
If it won't turn on
Turn it over. The label underneath carries the model number (on HP, the "Product" or "P/N" line), and that's enough to look up everything else. Or ring us on 01440 784570 with the model number and we'll look it up.

Finding your LIFEBOOK’s model and processor
The label on the base gives the model (LIFEBOOK U7411, for example) and the serial number. That model name is all we need to look a LIFEBOOK up. On a working laptop, Windows names the exact processor: our spec guide shows where.
Reading LIFEBOOK model names
Newer LIFEBOOKs have four digits. The second digit gives the screen size; the last two are the Intel generation:
- U7410: 14-inch, 10th-generation Intel
- U7411: 14-inch, 11th generation
- U7412: 14-inch, 12th generation
- U7510: 15.6-inch, 10th generation
Older LIFEBOOKs have three digits. A U748, for example, is 14-inch with an 8th-generation Intel.
What changes the price
- Those last two digits. A U7412 is two generations on from a U7410 and pays more.
- On a LIFEBOOK under 15 inches, the 13.3 and 14-inch models, the screen size can affect the price, depending on the condition.
- Windows 11 needs an 8th-generation Intel Core or newer, and the U748 and every model in the list above meet it.
- Without a working Fujitsu charger an Excellent LIFEBOOK stays Excellent and we take £10 off; Good and Faulty prices don’t change.

Is an E-series LIFEBOOK worth less than a U-series?
Not because of the letter. Two LIFEBOOKs with the same processor, screen size and condition get the same price from us.
Is a 6th or 7th-generation LIFEBOOK worth sending?
We buy it, at well under a U7410’s price. A LIFEBOOK with a Celeron, a Pentium or a 5th-generation Core or older is worth next to nothing to us, and recycling is the honest answer for that one.
Do you buy Fujitsu Stylistic tablets?
No. We buy laptops, and the Stylistic range are tablets.
